Gokudera is on the roof of the school, leaning against the railing and staring at the sky. No weapons, no cigarettes, no distractions - for once, just thinking, about all the events that have been surrounding them.

Gathering the guardians, and he's not sure what level of trust he places in each of them, yet. It's going to take a lot of fucking assessment, now that the heat of the battle is over, or at least he's telling himself. He hates to trust, but he's still drawn to them, but ignoring this fact. This is why he thinks so much - so he can rationalize, and ignore his goddamn heart.

He's got a feeling something else is coming up soon, something big. He has no idea what, but whatever it is, it ain't gonna be good. So he's gotta be prepared.

Everyone else better be damned well prepared, too.

So all these thoughts are in his head, and he's not as unaware of his surroundings as he would have been before in a deep thought mode, but he is still pretty unaware. Dangerous on a roof, eh?

Gokudera isn't exactly up for that suggestion. He's cautious of Hibari, he'd be crazy not to be, but sometimes you gotta take a few risks to really get to the bottom of someone's character. And nobody ever says that the Smokin' Bomb doesn't enjoy risks.

"I could do that, or we could play a game. I heard you like those."

Heh.

"And that would be, herbivore?" He asks. Those dark eyes glance up to Gokudera's, with a smirk to match.

You've got his attention now, Gokudera. Best be using it.

"I'm not exactly a herbivore, you know," Gokudera says. You're not a herbivore if you've killed a few times, and you're certainly not one if you have to be the right hand man of the Tenth. Not that Tsuna could ever know, if a few unsightly deeds were required...

But that was the nature of it all, wasn't it?

"Ever played chicken?"

"Fine then, insect-eater," he corrected with that grin still. He still didn't compare to Hibari's record. Kills, plenty under his belt, along with beatings and extortion. A right criminal he was, but you'd be hard-pressed to find people brave enough to take him on.

"What's the challenge?"

"You're pretty good with those tonfa of yours, aren't you?" Gokudera is an understater when it comes to anyone but the Tenth, but 'pretty good' in his book means he's paying attention, and that means something. "And I'm pretty good with my arsenal."

He spins one of those dynamite in his hand; don't ask where it came from, that's all part of what earned him his name. "So why don't we trade and see what happens?"

Gokudera smiles.

He glances at the other, bringing up a hand to his hair. "However fun that may sound, it's against the rules to be smoking and I find myself an example for the rest of the student body. Sorry, I must refuse." Of course, he doesn't look sorry at all.

He does, however, whip out one of his tonfa, bringing it to bear at Gokudera. He's not striking him, or even remotely threatening with it, but just the knowledge that he has it ready to do both.

"And what does that even have to do with chicken?" He asks, tilting his head, unamused. The Chairman smirks, letting his arm down to take another step forward. "It has also been noted your choice of weaponry could damage the school, which would only merit more punishment. Tell me why I shouldn't bite you to death right now."
